OCT is a moderate UVB absorber. It is an oil soluble. insoluble in water. It can easily be compatible with oil phase of a formulation. OCT is an excellent solubilizer for solid, crystalline UV absorber such as AVB, EHT, UVA PLUS and BP-3.
